What is it supposed to do?

I tried it, the only thing it does rapidly is make a copy of a video file, same size same quality result. What it doesn’t do is reduce the file size or have settings to do so. Meaning I’d prefer to make a smaller file size for my iPod, iPad or iPhone. Also every file is automatically loaded to only (by default) the iTunes library. I may not want it stored there??
