saw the review on youtube for and decided to give it a try. I have been converting old vids and it been getting the job done.

I tried it, the only thing it does rapidly is make a copy of a video file, same size same quality result. What it doesn’t do is reduce the file size or have settings to do so. Meaning I’d prefer to make a smaller file size for my iPod, iPad or iPhone. Also every file is automatically loaded to only (by default) the iTunes library. I may not want it stored there?? That’s why this app is free.

The program has its quirks, but once you learn them it is easy to use and performs reliably. I use it daily!

Our security system caught the guys stealing our yard sign for the current election (a crime no matter who you are voting for). I got four clips showing the car driving up and the guys getting out and stealing the sign. Unfortunately, it was a rainy night and the images of the guys actually stealing the sign were blurry, and they were far from the camera. Fortunately, the other three cameras got clear time-stamped pictures of the car as it approached. Unfortunately, the security system saved the videos in .264 and .avi formats, neither of which could be read by either the MS-based PC nor anything on my Mac. Fortunately, I found this Smart Converter, downloaded and installed it, then converted all four videos lickety split just by dragging them into the Smart Converter box and choosing QuickTime. Then I right-clicked and moved each one to my desktop and to Dropbox. I checked that the clock function came along with the video, and voila, they are ready to show to the police as evidence. You can’t beat that with a stick!

Some day, I take a short video 30s on iPhone, then I send it to my MBP, the video shown 26MB, its too large to send it out by e-mail, Then I get this software for try to converter to smaller size. I get it. Thanks for this software.

Best free or low priced video converter I’ve tried. Used a freeware version on Windows that was close but configuration and operation was confusing. This one, drag and drop the MKV file and it converts it, and links it to iTunes. Good job by the developers of this program.

Great app for converting video files to itunes or any other format. Conversion speed is really great. Thanx for making such a great app.

All I needed was a simple utility to convert .MOV files to .F4V files for an older product that still needs them and the was recommended by a few people. While it can convert F4V files into other formats, it CANNOT covert other formats into .F4V files.

I got this wonderful new video series that for some reason my all powerful Mac could not play. I love my Mac but they do restrict you a good bit. Searching the App store I found this Smart Converter and downloaded it to Mr. Mac. It did its magic and changed my video so that it would play. It was extremely easy which I needed for I am somewhat a techno dinosaur. I would recommend this app.

I tried about 5 other video converters before this and smart converter is the best one. Thank you to the developer for making a great program!

Works great, a little slow to me, but maybe it is my old Mac. Converted the file and sent to iTunes!
